The College of Medicine is part of UI Health, UIC’s academic health enterprise. This Giving Tuesday, we’re inviting everyone to help us support both students and patients – and join us in shaping a brighter future through access to education and clinical care.
Student Support
Our students are the future of medicine – and your support this Giving Tuesday can help them excel in their studies, become innovative and dedicated physicians, and elevate the communities they’ll go on to serve.
- College of Medicine Scholarship Fund: For the majority of our students, the dream of a medical education would be unattainable without financial support. Many come from low-income backgrounds. Some are the first in their families to earn a college degree of any kind, let alone pursue medical school. Others are supporting families while in school, balancing the rigorous demands of medical school with the need to cover day-to-day living expenses. Merit and need-based scholarships are essential for these students – and they are possible because of the generosity of donors like you!
Patient Support
The University of Illinois Physicians Group, part of the College of Medicine, is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve. Members are experts in clinical care who educate our residents, fellows, and medical students; conduct groundbreaking research; and deliver exceptional care for patients, particularly in historically underserved neighborhoods.
- College of Medicine Community Support Fund: Often, patients and their families need extra support as they undergo or recover from treatment. The Community Support Fund was created to help them with food, clothing, transportation assistance, at-home medical equipment, supplies, or other necessities. By contributing to this fund, you can help make a life-changing difference, allowing patients to focus on healing and achieve their optimum health.
No matter which fund you choose to support this Giving Tuesday, we are incredibly grateful.
Thank you!
