Coach Paul Zavala has coached and recruited student-athletes that have achieved unparalleled levels of success, repeated UIC school record-breaking levels of success. Praise Oyebanji [‘27] set a school freshman record in the 800m and qualified for the MVC Final Outdoor Championships last season. Fellow ’27 Hannah Oloro set a freshman record in the High Jump, while another ’27, Ava Maglaya, set a freshman record in the long jump. UIC is quickly becoming a powerhouse in cross-country and track & field in Chicago, in the Midwest, and nationally.
