The Native American Support Program (NASP) is the oldest state office in Illinois designed to promote the success of Native American students in higher education. For more than 50 years, NASP has been assisting students in achieving their academic goals, engaged in efforts with campus partners to increase student admissions and retention rates, promoting connections between the Chicago and UIC community of Native American cultures, providing academic and career coaching, culturally relevant activities, and creating a safe and supportive space for Native student concerns. We strive to help the University of Illinois Chicago to be “Indigenous Student Ready.” The Native American Support Program Fund is the most direct way to support indigenous students at UIC where they need it most.
