About

As the first and only Arab American Cultural Center (ArabAmCC) on a college campus in the United States, the ArabAmCC affirms and supports the diverse needs of the Arab and Arab American students, increases awareness about Arab and Arab American and Muslim American cultures and histories, provides skills building and professional support opportunities for students, and strengthens community among students, staff, faculty, and the Chicagoland. ArabAmCC organizes public events and workshops under our Ibda'a (Creative Practices), Hiwarat (Public Conversations), Tawasul (Strengthening Connections), and Wellness programming. The Center also provides Da'am (support services) for students as they navigate the campus and Tamkeen (capacity building) to support their professional and leadership development. ArabAmCC organizes an annual Arab American Graduation Hafla to honor and celebrate our students hard work and achievements.
