The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services provides many of the university’s core services as well as central management and coordination of new construction projects. Our mission is to provide a safe, secure, functional and attractive

environment that supports UIC teaching, public service, healthcare and student success goals.

OVCAS has fiscal responsibility for a wide range of activities, including:

• Campus safety, security and preparedness
• Space and capital planning
• Facilities maintenance and building access
• Utilities and energy services
• Environmental health and safety
• Parking, transportation, grounds and mail services
• Sustainability initiatives
