Hear from Ghana Almostafa, pictured below, about how the Eugenia M. Cobbinah Memorial Scholarship has positively impacted her.

“This generous scholarship support has provided me with a tremendous opportunity to pursue my passion for nursing at the UIC College of Nursing. Nursing is my pride, and attending the UIC College of Nursing is the foundation of my career. I chose this institution because of its outstanding contributions to the field of nursing and its commitment to graduating future nurses who will make a significant impact in healthcare. My desire to contribute to the nursing profession is deeply personal, inspired by my experience with my mother’s chronic illness.

I am eager to pursue a career in nursing because it offers numerous pathways for growth and development. With my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), I plan to work closely with patients in hospitals, clinics, or educational settings. After graduation, I hope to work as a registered nurse at a hospital in Illinois, where I can directly impact patient care. This scholarship is more than just a financial award; it is an encouragement to continue striving for my goals and making a difference in the lives of others. I am deeply honored to be a recipient and am committed to using this opportunity to its fullest potential.”
